They need to request it to be done by BTO, and should take 24 hours for a regrade last time I heard

Theoretically we are in a digital age.

BT should be able to software manage the ports etc so if Sky are set up to say receive 80/20 on the FTTC bit, then they should be able to just click one of the 3 check boxes.

      40/2
      40/10
      80/20

BUt tbh I have no idea.

New Router trials have been going on for some time with mixed feelings about the new offering and even if and when it will arrive.

It could be a case of 80/20 has gone live on the system but not avalible for customers to order online. The unofficial line from people who work in various department at sky was it was due to launch next week but this could be the online ordering.

To be honest, lots of people who post on the forum work in various departments at sky or for companies who work with sky. They all also pointed to a launch next week, thats not to say it wont happen today but it does show how fast things can change.
