no its not, sometimes as part of the fiber upgrade the original PCP's get replaced if they are the really small ones for newer bigger ones but they are still the PCP cab not a fiber cab, i have seen this where i live and a few of the old PCP cabs got replaced a few weeks before they came to fit the fiber cabs, also even when the PCP doesnt get replaced you would still see recent work on the floor going up to the PCP cab because they lay new polyducting from the old PCP to the new fiber cab underground for the cables that link the 2 cabs together.

I dont wish to spend my whole time on here constantly correcting you and arguing about this stuff but im afraid, with all due respect, you havent a clue what your on about with all this fiber stuff so apologies if it seems like im on your case but it frustrates me to see people getting confused by mis-information

Fibre cabinets have ventilation slots to allow for the cooling of the DSLAMs which are installed in them. Standard PCP boxes are little more than large junction boxes which do not require to be vented.

/ontopic - that poster was on the one I've seen, but not on my cabinet. If it was I'd have been tempted to take it off to stop people twigging and crowding it before Sky launched their service
