For the last couple of days I have noticed quite a alot of open reach vans at my local cab so I think quite a few people are taking it up. Not sure if they are sky customers though. You are lucky you are getting it tomorrow! Not jealous at all I have to wait until Monday and it seems like an age away!

I am looking forward to seeing your speedtest result as well. What are they predicting you will be at?

One thing I have noticed over the last couple of days with the flurry of people getting activated is, how similar and consistant their speeds are. All looks good to me and glad I waited for sky to bring it out
I didn't get quoted the full 40 speeds by sky, I got a est of 35.3/2, same on BT checker. Most of the people have said the checker can be way off so if I achieve the full 40, I will be more than happy. Still, 35 mbps is great for our home and I would be happy with that. Soon as I'm up and running I will be posting my stats. Hoping for a pleasant surprise.

Cool. Your current connection speed is nearly 3x faster than mine anyway!

Although The cab is basically at the top of my street so therefore I am confident mine is capable of 80/20 but I won't be paying 30 for it. 40/2 is enough for me for now. Would see my connection speed increased by a factor of 6 at the moment which is good enough for me

Even if I could get close to 80 I won't be going for it. Price is too steep for me. Anywhere close to 40 and I will have no issues in our house. Even though I get 16 now, things soon grind to a halt when we are all doing our thing.

I'm looking forward to seeing what my max attainable rate is tomorrow once I've flashed the OR modem. My cabinet is literally a 10 second walk away.

One is probably the fibre cabinet and the other will just house the copper so technically you'll be connected to both of them

This is what I will do when I get mine installed on Monday. I am also quite close to mine and the speed checkers say 76.5 down and 20 up so I reckon I should be in for decent numbers
