I've just put the 2504n on myself and like you it synced fine but no internet, I just went to Connection status clicked disconnect and then Connect and it sparked into life.

Try powering it off and back on, took me 2-3 attempts, but in the end I just left it and it worked.

Also, you take quite a knock on your downstream sync on your 2504! Mine was literally 9 different, yours appears to be over 1.5mb out

@nijohc - be careful... you must remove that router before the BTO engineer turns up... if you leave it in connected...he'll get ****** at you...as it should say on an invoice leaflet that came with your router, not to install until whatever date your installation is at...

hence...make it look as if your still waitng for installation/still using your old router.

I don't think the BTO engineer will actually care if your using the router or not. He doesn't work for Sky so his only concern is for the equipment he will be bringing and the installation itself.

I'm not going to connect my new router up until 7am on the day of the installation but for all the engineer knows I could have been using it for days. It shouldn't really matter when you connect it up.

Do you no if you will have to do a factory rest before the fibre man comes tomorrow, or will it just reconnect to the fibre modem and work straight away.

      re: 1 more sleep...

There is a setting on one page where you can specify what method the Router attempts to connect to the internet.

When BT Man has disappeared, I'll just force that to WANoE (so it's using the yellow ethernet port to get to the BT modem to get to the internet) and I'll be golden. May even get my ethernet cable plugged in and ready to go tonight, just need the BT modem tomorrow then. My wife agrees on putting the modem on the wall, but said "If I knew I had to have more devices in the house I wouldn't have had it!"

I shook my head in disapproval.

To be perfectly honest what router I'm using should be none of his business, so I'll leave it as is and I seriously doubt he'd be able to tell the difference just by looking at it anyway.
