      Word of warning if ordering or you have ordered Sky Fibreoptic Broadband..

      Hi All

      I ordered Fibreoptic broadband on the 14th April via the Sky website.

      I currently had the broadband unlimited package as well as the unlimited phone phone package with Sky.

      When ordering the Sky Fibreoptic package it said my new bill would be an extra 7.50 a month ( I was expecting it to go up by 12.50 as currently my broadband is 7.50 a month)

      I couldn't work out why it only went up by 7.50 until now!!!!!!

      When you order Fibreoptic it automatically downgrades your phone package to the Sky Freetime tarrif even though you are on the Sky talk unlimited talk package.

      So if you have ordered Sky Fibreoptic broadband and had Sky Talk unlimited already please Check your account. You probably have been downgraded to the Sky Freetime talk package....

      Just checked mine and I have Sky Talk Unlimited still.

      I didn't order Fibre online though...

      Thanks Bruce, I have seen another poster on the forum saying their bill had only gone up by 7.50, this is no doubt the reason. I hope they take note.

      Thanks for the warning. ordered online on Saturday morning but have not lost the unlimited phone option, so not affecting all.

      I noticed this when ordering Fibre online on Friday. The basket had Sky Fibre Unlimited and also Sky Freetime, I simply removed Sky Freetime from the basket and the cost went to 12.50

      Maybe this is what i should of done as well...

      I think Sky should of made this a bit clearer to avoid confusion.. They should of just made it a broadband upgrade and not involved the phone package in anyway.

      I didnt notice when i ordered but now looking there is a yellow arrow spinny thing on the sky talk freetime but unlimited is still there.

      A few others have noticed problems, so it does appear that Sky's systems need to be checked.

      I trust that everyone who has found issues has been contacting Sky to get these problems resolved.

      Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.
