      No boxes in sight

My exchange is due to be updated to fibre by Q4 2012 but as my line comes in on a pole and all the cables are run through ducts in the ground, am I likely to get FTTC?

      Re: No boxes in sight

If you are very close to the telephone exchange, then the cables will come directly from it and avoid any cabinet.

In any other cases your wires will go underground from the telegraph pole to green street box nearby.

Also, from what has been learnt over the past few days, i would suggest that you are unlikely to be able to order SBUF immediately after FTTC has gone live. We shall have to see how long it takes for Sky to update the kit now. It could be two or three months.
