      Any insider knowledge about SFUB from BT fibre areas that Sky don't cover? What it will be and when exactly in July for example. They say

      "From July, people in a Fibre area and a non-Sky network area will be able to get fibre from Sky"

      We are waiting for further information on this that we can post.

      After the initial soft product launch, Sky has clamped down again on what information is getting out.

      Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
      Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      I think Sky need to sort out their teething issues in regards to ordering and speeds people are getting before they add more people to be honest. I just hope for those who take sky fibre product via BT that its better than their connect service

      My exchange (LVNES) was originally flagged to go live at the end of March, which was then moved to the right to the end of June. Only 1 cabinet out of 4 that I'm aware of has been upgraded (but not my one) and there's two weeks to go before July.

      Somehow I'm expecting no progress and for the go live date to shift to the right again, to the end of September, on the 30th June...

      This should be that my local area in Basingstoke will get activation maybe? I pray I don't suffer from the speed issues that everybody else is commenting about. Cheers Pazza for finding that info. I need to phone up soon to query.

      Grrr Just drove past Caldicot Exchange. They got nice few FTTC and they are like in the middle of nowhere. It's NOT fair!

      Noticed in the latest patch notes for Chordiant (Sky's CRM software), there is a big bit about being able to order fibre in non Sky network areas now. This was a few days ago. I think it must still be in trials because I couldn't find any mention at all of pricing or packages.

      How would I go about this? No-Show on 14-May (ordered 27 Apr), and still stuck in the loop of waiting for an update from OpenReach. Not a complaint, per-say, as I am sure everyone I have spoken to at Sky have done all they can - the problem seems to be at OpenReach. How can I kick this along a bit?

      Firstly speak with someone within the Sky department and ask to speak with their manager or a supervisor. Often this will resolve an issue.

      Once you have gone as far as you can with the Broadband or Fibre team, compose an email for the Executive Support Team. Describe what you issue is and include a summary of what has been done to date and what hasn't (i.e. have you received your router). Send the email to jeremy dot darroch at bskyb dot com.

      I would also consider contacting Ofcom about the fact that BTO have failed to keep their appointment with you. This is happening all too often and the more people who contact them about this the better IMHO as it could trigger a full investigation and hopefully result in a better system for us all.
