      Trialists: Check your bills

      A quick word of caution to all those on the SBUF trial, please check your Sky Bills.

      I've a report from another member that they were charged for both their old broadband package and SBUF this month.

      The best way to do this would be to visit the sky website, log in to your account and check your current and recent bills.

      The person in question managed to get compensated.

      Although I hadn't been charged for both BB services, the cheeky ******s charged for the new router!!

      Well, to be more precise, I was charged for the router, which apparently they do to everybody on SBUF as they can't release equipment without the account being charged, but an immediate credit should be added thus making it free. Some toothless simpleton forgot to add this credit.

      All straightened out now, 35 recredited to my account, with a 15 goodwill gesture credit to boot.

      Thanks Scubbie, I rarely check the bill so god knows how long this would have gone unnoticed.

      I checked my account after going live this week - the interim bill shows sky line rental added as of my install date, but bb unlimited removed and sbuf added as of my order date, which was 3 weeks before the install! Time will tell whether it will straighten itself out when the proper bill is created!
      Btw, my router was charged and credited correctly on last months bill!
      I also paid the line rental upfront for 12 months, this was charged to the tv part of my bill as 'upfront payment', I'll also be making sure I'm not charged for it monthly too!

      Update: just checked the bill again and the 'remove BB unlimited' has now been updated to 10th April, 'Added SBUF' still shows as the order date though!

      I was told on the phone by Sky Fibre team to keep an eye on my account as they may charge for the installation then credit it.

      So there's another thing to look out for.

      Obviously this is a new system and mistakes can happen, so I trust this will be resolved in the longer term.

      Hopefully this will be kept ro a minimum in the long term.

      Installation is itemised on my bill under 'Additional products and services' as 0.00

      Cheers for this - I hadn't been credited for the router being sent out and just got a bill of 140+ as always a quick "chat" with an adviser sorted it out for me

      well...i can see no charges on the website...checked my next month billing, its showing 0.00...
