Will my cabinet get upgraded? List of cabinets that will inside!

EDIT: Unfortunately BT Openreach have asked me to take the information off the site. But they have told me that they will soon be upgrading their checker to show similar information.

Also note that I won't be providing any more copies or dumps of the information. Any emails or PMs will simply be ignored. Thanks

      Original Post:
I am sure lots of people are wondering if their cabinet will get upgraded or not for FTTC. I have found an online copy of the BT PCP document which tells you if your cabinet will be upgraded or not. Just search based on your postcode. If the last couple of columns are blank then you may be out of luck.

      https://www.google.com/fusiontables/...id=S351604JNil

My cabinet for my postcode states this. Which from what I am aware means I will get FTTC. I assume the Phase will be the date listed on SamKnows.

      SAU_ID

Name Postcode SAU_NODE_ID Exchange Only Flag Percent Lines Uplift Phase Deployed FTTC or FTTP
      EMCENTL LEICESTER LE14QG {EMCENTL}{P78} 0 1% 17.21 9a Yes FTTC

If I've got any of this wrong let me know!!

Also trying to work out where my cabinet is! Is this a BT cabinet? If so I can see it from my window le14qg - Google Maps

Yes I believe so.. if it's like ours that cover will have the old T on it with telecom underneath. I know it's not cable as when we were hooked up the guy went to the smaller box on it's own in the other direction.

that graph won't work for me. nothing comes up!

Here's our cab. I assume the little one is cable? as we have 3 of them in 100 yards on either side on the road. My house is behind the trees!

Hmm, the cab in that google link is number 111 not the 1 listed in that document which is 78, also the 1% in percent lines column means only 1% of the phone lines from that post code come from pcp cab 78 the rest will come from other cabs but none of the other cab numbers for that post code are in the document which usually means they are not planned as all the non planned entries are usually removed from that document to keep the list smaller.
So if you are lucky and your line is in the 1% of lines connected to pcp 78 then yes you should get upgraded but your cab is not the one in that google link, if your line comes from another cab then you prob are not part of the current roll out yet

Gutted! Nevermind! Guess I'm sticking with my 15meg for awhile

I guess its because the cabinet probably covers mostly commercial property. We are right on the edge of the industrial units!

Come to think of it this could also be our cabinet. I will take a look later. I guess theres no easy way of telling what I'm connected to? Since there isn't any Virgin Media in this area I guess this could be a small cab providing the flats?

      Google Maps

Although I can't see any numbers on it from Maps!

I just moved into a new build house and there is a brand new cabinet on the street - Spoke to the skys fibre team and they said it hasn't been updated. Is there anyway I can find out when it would be? (The exchange has been sorted, its just the cabinet)

Another excellent post by the OP.

Is it true that the Uplift figure is the average multipler of the current connection speed? i.e says the uplift is 13.74 so by current speed is about 3 so 3 x 13.74 gets you to aorund 40 meg?

Not sure, my uplift is 2.something which gives me about 33Mb. I've been estimated 52Mb by BT and I expect that speed to be higher in reality, so unknown.

Re: Will my cabinet get upgraded? List of cabinets that will inside!

I have doubt of the uplift factor as mine shows 0.42 so going to fibre would mean I get less than half the speed. I think a lot of caution needs to be taken with the page. Also a postcode could be served by 2 different exchanges let alone cabinets!!
