Anyone who has the voicemail plus feature on their line can tell if they are on SVBN as your voicemails will be available through My Sky, if they are not you are not on SVBN, i dont have voicemail plus personally but may help some people

      quote
If you're a Sky Talk and Broadband customer on Sky's own network and you take our Voicemail Plus feature, you can also check your voicemails online through My Sky

It appears I may not have been fully correct, there seems to be a sort of halfway house which moves you off the Easynet exchange equipment and on to the Sky gear without moving you fully to SVBN. If you check your gateway address, it will not be your local exchange as it would be on Easynet equipment. In the past if the second hop mentioned 'sky.com' you were on the SVBN, that does not now seem to be the case. The only way to check if you are fully moved is to ring 150 or 17070, On full SVBN you will hear Welcome to Sky, or Hi, I'm Zoe. If you are not moved you will get a BT welcome.

Those in doubt should ring one of these numbers.

      Correctamundo.

      Typically: Tracert for easynet stinger = dslamNumber.exchangeCode.uk.easynet.net e.g. cr1.ndsit.uk.easynet.net

Tracerts showing bb/isp.sky.com do not necessarily mean that you're on SVBN, it just means you're likely connected to an ISAM. And just because you're on Sky's kit (ISAM) does not mean you're on SVBN. 'Traditionally', those connecting via WLR were put on stingers but a lot are now put onto a Sky ISAM and their line rental will continue to route through WLR3 until they're potentially migrated to SVBN further down the line.

As stated, calling 17070 will usually prove what you're on - Zoe = SVBN; BT test facility = Non-SVBN.

      Ok.

Now I am very confused (or maybe I should be very happy) .... my tracerts show isp.sky.com, dialing 150 I get "You're through to Sky" and dialing 17070 gets me "Hi I am Zoe ..."

      Good news right ?

This would appear to confirm that you are on SVBN. It doesn't confirm whether the kit has the necessary upgrade to support SBUF.
