I have heard that in some cases BTO are now putting in enough connections to allow all the lines it connects to to be connected to FTTC. I don't know when they started this policy but you may be safe.

But what annoys me is that people have it already and I could be having an order placed now - no doubt there'll be a 3 week lead time on an order too!!
I've had my order placed 3 times now, once with plus net and twice with Sky, each order date has been 2 1/2 - 3 weeks away. Less then a month ago i ordered BT Business Infinity for the office (same town), they installed it within a week... strange that

Sounds good - I hope a "new" cabinet would fall under this policy

Just another thing that maybe of interest. The guy at the fibre team made it very clear the the speed that sky are offering will be 40/2 he said my line was capable of 6 mbps upload speed but that it was not offering anything above 2mbps so at launch he said there would only be one offering at the table.

      Sent from my ST18i
      With sky since 1997.

Business lines get priority treatment over domestic lines. This is why, for example, they cost more.

      No worries.

Should your business connection drop, it would be given greater priority to be repaired over our domestics products.

Also, should it be down for a few hours (check your contract) you would be entitled to some compensation for loss of earnings. This would not be the same case for any Sky broadband product. With Sky (and any other domestic broadband product) the downtime is longer before any compensation levels are triggered. The would also be much lower.

      Re: Sky fibre broadband

OK trying again. This time I followed the number given above and I've got through to an English person. He was adamant that I can't order it but is putting me through somewhere else.

Trouble is, he says there's 2/3 minute queue. I wonder who else is trying? If this attempt fails then I'll just wait until Thursday.
