It shows your eager the more times you ring. It's a service you want and are ready to pay for. It only took 2 attempts this morning and got the best result yet. I've rung about 6 times now over 2 weeks. The guy I spoke to was more than helpful to find a way to get me fibre. Now I can't wait for Monday.hope I'm not disappointed.

On the basis of what I have read this morning, I tried twice - unsurprisingly got two rebuffs. Probably depends which call centre and/or agent you get through to. I seem to get through to Newport, South Wales. They seemed more interested in up selling me the Sky Movies pack

You get through to Welsh people? I thought they were Indians/Eastern Europeans or something.

Sometimes a Welsh accent, mostly not - but usually chatty so I find out where they are - definitely Newport. It's been a while since I got a Scottish voice (not that I call often at all really). It was about a year ago that I first got through to Newport (when I upgraded to Sky+HD).

Anyway, must dash - got to ponder whether Plan B would do for me after all rather than waiting for SBUF until May or June (yes there were the dates quoted to me this morning for SBUF availability) or whenever.

Seriously regretting not taking fibre from someone else a year ago now as I'd be contract free and ready to move to SBUF when the dust has settled in a few months.

My worry is capacity at the cabinet, but it's not even a month old yet so shouldn't be a concern...

But what annoys me is that people have it already and I could be having an order placed now - no doubt there'll be a 3 week lead time on an order too!!

      Re: Sky fibre broadband

      A few pointers for people:

Sky have rolled out the training to some of their support and sales staff. I guess this is fairly obvious by the responses of those who have been able to order SBUF.

There are likely to be several offers launched with the launch of SBUF on 12th April. Jumping the queue now is great as you get it ordered and hopefully installed within the next two weeks, but without the potential offers. Please do not complain later.

I suspect that those people who are putting the orders through haven't been told to hold back, whilst those who are checking have been told not to proceed for now. since there is no on-line order system available, calling is the only method for now.
