Well it's either still an invitation only trial or it isn't.
If it is still an invitation only trial, some lucky people have blagged their way in early. Called twice, no joy. Fair enough I suppose.
If it isn't still an invitation only trial, "it's almost like it's a soft launch to SOME customers on a random basis".

But I don't think it's a random basis. If you are persistent enough, I bet you could do it.

hi, Just wondering if any of your guys have recieved a phone call from the sky fibre team yet, as some of us have already contacted them about sky fibre, and are waiting, for them to call us(been told a call maybe later on today(mon) or tues evening from them)...for an order maybe....this will waiver the 50 fee, as after the 12th, they start charging it...

      P.S.

HEHE...love the gimmick vodafone have put in their TV advert....CGI yoda!

      "Wise, they must be!"

"Strong with the force, are they..."

Wish they could do that to sky.....just imagine....sky fibre broadband....CGI yoda hehehe...

I don't think I could face being turned down three times!

Just going to wait for Thursday now and place an order on launch day.

I think the biggest disappointments for me have been not being able to get invited on the trial (despite having registered both last year or the year before or whenever it was and recently, and having all the pre-requisistes for FTTC, and having seriously resisted the urge for months now to go elsewhere) and the "developments" that seem to have happened this weekend (maybe there's some internal confusion within some call centres and/or agents about how to handle SBUF enquiries now).

      Roll on Thursday...

Oh yes, registered on both campaigns (2010 or 2011 or whenever it was, and the latest one), phoned twice this weekend, can't even get past call centre agents telling me to register interest, yada yada...

      speedyrite,

      Heres what i did ok...

i tryed an 020, from SAYNOTO0870.COM - Non-Geographical Alternative Telephone Numbers, no use...i think that number is not that up date on the times...as there are more options on the 0844 number...

Then, I tryed the 0844 number... I went to option 2...upgrades...now what i have noticed is this... if you get an english person replying, they can put you through the correct channels, and another english person will reply...they then put you through to the sky fibre team...and then half the sky fibre team are scottish anyway...

But..if you get a scottish person replying, they then transfer you to the bb team...you may or may not get an english person, replying...you might get indians replying...they will not know anything about sky fibre, maybe that why you got no where 2/3 times...I dont know.
