It appears that the systems are not currently in place. Hopefully this situation will change soon.

I would imagine this will be one of the things they will have to resolve quickly if they haven't already to ensure they get all the sign ups they can. I do hope for those who do want to move across to sky that it's a simple process and not a cease and new provision.

Well makes no odds to me - my cabinet only went live this week. I'm sure Sky will get this situation resolved as quickly as possible though to ensure maximum penetration into current FTTC subscribers.

Re: Transfer from another FTTC product to Sky Broadband Unlimited Fibre

Obviously this situation will change in due course. It would be useful for someone transferring from another FTTC product to SBUF to let us know how things go.

As for moving from Virgin Cable to SBUF, these are two separate systems. The only issue that comes to mind will be over keeping the telephone number. That said, VM does resell BTW products in areas where they don't have cable.

This is why I was careful to quote my source at the beginning of this thread.

The source being Sky's own official forum and the total lack of response from any of the Sky employees who are supposed to monitor the forum would indicate that either it is true or they have no idea about the product.
