We have detected that your ISP is speedtestid=0. Your download speed is 13280Kbps. Your upload speed is 926Kbps.
      Please select your speedtestid=0 package:

Sorry! We don't have any more information about your ISP.
We are aware of this, it is to do with a new allocation of IPs that have not yet been added to our hosts database files. It will be sorted soon.

Switching over to Fibre seems to have recified this, I'm guessing i've been allocated an IP which isn't bugged.

It's now recording my results. It's also recorded the results I couldn't previously save.
You might want to have a look at these as I didn't get the chance to selct which package I was on and could've screwed up your figures.

Great news, I have had an email saying hopefully the new range of IPs will be added to their database within the next few days or so.

If no package is selected, then our speedtester does not keep the results for the table so to speak. Therefore if you have not selected a package they are dropped anyway and not taken into account for the average speeds etc.

It will however give you the results (past ones etc) if you are logged in as a forum member at the time of recording them. If not then it will also drop them from your history so to speak.

The real issue we have is people on Unlimited and choosing Unlimited Fibre, this skews the results.

Re: SkyUser Speedtester Results - Testing

One thing I have noticed since switching to SBUF and being allocated a new IP, is that Speedtest.net now detects my location as being Eastborune, East Sussex. Whereas I'm actually 150 miles away, in Wiltshire!

      Odd

It might have been better to have dropped the Unlimited and just call it 'Sky Fibre'. There is no other option for fibre is there.

There is nothing stopping Sky from launching other fibre products in the future with other names such as 'Extreme Fibre' .

      PlusNet Fibre since Jan 2021
Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.
