      thanks mate

Well VM have just announced they are putting more TM on their network from Monday. We have until Sunday to ring and get out.. I guess the best plan would be to go back to 9mbps and wait to see if Sky come to our exchange. What's the point in a fast connection if it's crippled in the day and the only time it works right is overnight.

"edit" oh well, seems all exchanges around us are with AO or CS but our exchange is the grey one..

That's for BT anyway not sure if Sky would also be the same. Although one exchange near us is being enabled for SKy only. Well I assume so., Sky is the only LLU provider and there's no BT not even WBC so I assume it's being enabled only for sky fibre.

Sky needs the exchange to be enabled by BT and that it also has sky's equipment (LLU) available.

Yes one of our exchanges is being fibre enabled but Sky is the only LLU provider. Theres no even any WBC or ADSL Max there so I assume it's only Sky.

Talktalk did the same at my parents exchange.. the only LLU provider and I'd imagine they have taken a lot of business away from BT!. it's 6mbps with BT or 14mbps with TT for my parents, no brainer really.

I'd be interested to see how Sky think about this..

Both the exchanges around us have 9000 people between them, (3k and about 6k) but ours has 21K and is being left out.. :/

An exchange with or without WBC has nothing to do with sky or fibre. WBC just allows a connection of upto 24meg.

An exchange has to be fibre enabled and have sky LLU equipment ( upgraded to SVBN) before anyone on the exchange would be able to order sky. Almost all exchanges would have BT ADSL, my exchange has not got WBC but a fibre rollout date as they are two different things. So if no other LLU providers are listed at the exchange other than sky when it is fibre enabled it would be a choice of Sky fibre or any fibre from the providers who use BTW.

Time to bump this as I need to add relevant progress.

So I've contacted Sky over the weekend, just waiting for another call from SBUF team today/tomorrow... Progress as I receive it.

You wife must be fed up washing your underpants, as you must be constantly peeing yourself with anticipation,

No, I do the majority of the washing lately as I'm off from work and have been designated "house husband"

Roll on tomorrow - back to work for some peace! Haha
