Not that im impatient or anything but... Has anyone got lucky and managed to get on the trial by saying they want to leave an move to another fttc provider?

I seriously looking at PlusNet as the only downsides I can see are:

Losing anytime which I don't use anyway
Having to pay 5 more to get a non traffic shaped service
Having not been on their service it's abit of an unknown.

I used to be with PlusNet years ago, and at the time, it was rubbish.

Not sure what it is like now, but I could never pay for a service that was traffic shaped in any way shape or form.

I was with Plusnet around at the time they were bought out.

They were fantastic prior to the BT aquisition, after that, a bag of poo. I migrated out shortly after this.

From what I can tell, Plusnet now, is basically BT products, in a different guise. Traffic Shaped all the way.

If I was on a fibred up exchange, then it maybe worth a shot. I doubt Sky would let you go to the oppostion etc - There was chatter that the fibre was to be used as a retention tool, whether true or not is unknown.

Another ex Plusnetter here, remember, in their own words, we have never done 'unlimited internet'. Even though that was the reason I left, I was on it and they took it off me.
