      Re: Sky Fibre hopeful

Another hopeful waiting for the phone to ring.
I have all the bits and bobs required been with Sky almost 20 years and registered for fibre months ago.
The BT cabinet was active approx 4 months ago.
My current package Sky unlimited reaches the heady heights of 4.2Mb/s.
I am not sure how the selection process works but it does seem a bit random at times.

wanna ask them if they have any idea on when the cabinet will go live(hell even if i will be getting it, 0 info from bt's site on my phone number, but my postcode is listed as 100% on pcp sheet - i worry to much )

      Re: Sky Fibre hopeful

I read somewhere that they were inviting 100 customers per day. 1 person per exchange seems a bit harsh !!

It really is quite sad how we get so excited about fast broadband. I ordered mine on Monday night and its getting installed a week on Tuesday. I have been dreaming about fibre. I have 10 internet devices, two macs, blu ray, sure signal, apple tv, two 1 tb Sky boxes, iPad and two iPhones in the house.

      It is not sad!

      I have: -

PC, ESX Server running VM's (5 of them), iPhone, iPad, HTC Sensation, Two Kindles (Wireless), Apple TV, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Sky+ Box, TV, two Laptops.

      I think that's it.

      Re: Sky Fibre hopeful

Same date as me. Have been passing my local cabinet daily but haven't seen anyone else working on it. Though, I'm going past at 5:20 - could be too late in the day to see anyone hard at work.
