I would bet a tenner, the only reason it was disconnected was because Sky told BT to connect new user x to that port number.

It is to save the actual cost of an engineer turning up at the exchange, and disconnecting the actual port.

Be a waste of a tenner, as I think you've got it spot on

      Re: Sky Fibre hopeful

Just happen to walk the dog past two different lots of Openreach teams fitting cabinets. They both told me they are working 7 day weeks as they are about 3 weeks behind in my area. I am glad that BT have allowed them to work weekends so we can connect to sky fibre when it launches

Haven't seen anybody working on the cabinet near me for a bit now.

BT Infinity checker still says "31st March 2012" so looks like I'll miss the trial =/

dam, no sign of the planned fibre lying road works here(tho granted i doubt there'd start at my end, prob still near the exchange).

but did take a walk and saw about 5 bt open reach vans heading back into town all in a row, poor sods must be over worked.

BT and Open Reach depot across road from me (at work) my office is on first floor so ive got a great view. Normally the vans start returning to depot about 2pm or earlier as they only have to do 4 jobs a day and the quicker they finish the quicker they go home. They arent finishing early anymore normally they come whizzing back chuck the scrap in skip and go. If an engineer appears I might nip over. I'm in Warwickshire by the way
