When the BTO engineer arrived he first drew the 'plumbers' sharp intake of breath on seeing the Sky router and exclaimed "Ah, not seen one of them before, didn't realise we were connecting Sky customers"!
Turned out I am the first Sky customer at my exchange!
This sums up the attitude of many BTO Engineers quite nicely.

Sky is seen as a competitor and many are still very loyal to BT Retail product.

The paperwork he had would have made it very clear that the job was for Sky.

Have done the speed test . net and I am getting just under 38 down and just under 2 up. Fantastic!!!! Well pleased and at the price it is a steal. Love it.
I don't know how to post and display the speed test resuts on here but suffice it to say, I am very happy!
Another member of the fibre club enjoy the speed !
My BTO engineer also appeared surprised to be connecting a sky product and said first he'd seen of sky router & had no notes /training etc on the product

Not sure if I made it clear?
The reason he/we couldn't get connected to the internet and were getting a "The router has failed to detect a BB connection" message was, coincidentally, due to sky having a network issue. It was fixed, again coincidentally, whilst I was on the 'phone to Sky fibre team discussing the problem.
I had no problem with the BTO engineer. In fact he was fine.

No problem, but I rather suspect that he may have not connected something correctly. This could have caused the 'Network Issues'.

I have never had a bad word to say about a BT engineer, but try and speak to someone who is capable of resolving an issue, using your phone.

Maybe Sky should use Maureen Lipman in a new Fibre advert?
