the guy on the phone stated that the engineer that comes to fit the faceplate would be mine for an hour to do with as i pleased.

      Re: Sky Fibre connection

Things seem to progressing quite well with fibre preperations I have been informed, With install instructions rolled out to Openreach engineers today/Monday on how the Sky service needs setting up and connecting as quite different to BT and other resellers products.

Also theres is around another 250 users being connected up next week and week after some appear to be from here, Quite a few of these BETA users I expect will be staff along with market research staff but will be some general customers among these and are spread around the country where the exchanges have been done for fibre and Sky's ISAMs have been upgraded.

      Re: Sky Fibre connection

      |Have got Sky calling me back this evening (hopefully). I have just finished my 18 month contract for BT Infinity soI am wanting to go Sky fibre and Sky Talk Unlimited.
Should be an interesting chat as all the changeover work is done, maybe just a case of switching modem to the Sky one and switching over.

      Re: Sky Fibre connection

i am eagerly waiting for someone from here, who like a few of us have stated so far have no power socket whatsoever in the hall where our bt master socket is, to get sky fiber installed and finally be able to give us 100% clarification on the relatively grey area that is 'the data extention cable' and exactly how acomodating Openreach engineers are in placement of the modem away from the master socket.
