    Sky Fibre connection

This is a discussion on Sky Fibre connection within the Sky Broadband (Fibre) Help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; Hmmm... Looking good, but I suspect it was another case of Speedtest fluffing things I guess. Do you, or anyone ...

Do you, or anyone else on SBUF, have a non-Sky Cable router to hand that you could attempt to connect?

You may need to extract the log in details from the Sky router first.

Use the Sagem F@ST 2504 option for the Sagem 2504N: Sky router password generator

It would be really nice to hear of someone successfully doing this.

That is alright. Hopefully someone else may happen to have a Cable router to hand which they can test with.

Eeekk!!! Just saw another version of the ad and it went on about being 4 times faster than Sky again.

It was the one where he goes on about having so many virtual friends.

Of course members on this forum should all be aware now that Sky's Fibre product does not have any traffic shaping and that BT Infinity, like most other BB products outs there, does. I had understood that it was meant to have changed with regards to Torrents and that they were no longer throttled.

As for BT slowing people down during peak times, they really do need to think about what they are offering people. Once Sky launches a full 80/20 product (should this happen) BT will be left speechless in the areas where Sky can deliver.

P.S. Good job I'm not your mum

I hope a configuration similar to the ADSL products 'gamer profile' is introduced at some point which turns interleaving off completely.

      Re: Sky Fibre connection

it starting to get a bit annoying waiting for this sky fibre phone call. Normally I ignore the phone numbers I don't recognise, but so far I am having my loft and walls insulated and now I am having a reading test. Let just hope nobody rings up to tell me I have won the Spanish lottery
