I thank you for your concern (genuinely I do. But my post asked if someone might PM me the number as I had possibly screwed up) but putting the number on an open forum will, I suspect, NOT help those awaiting a call from the fibre team as they will now be inundated with incoming enquiries and thus be unable to call out to as many people awaiting their call to get on the band wagon!!

Please do not take this the wrong way but I am not convinced you have done the majority of people waiting in the queue any favours.

Much as I want to, I won't be calling them (it doesn't seem like the right thing to do) - but I suppose it also means bang goes my chance of a call from them "anytime+" soon then

The number may be discontinued as soon as they know that it has been discovered (which I'm guessing will probably be quite soon) - I gather that's what they normally do when direct numbers to particular people or teams are published.

People on the sky fibre trial have a flag on their account and get access to the fibre team, those who don't may get routed to the main sky number.

Just for info, TalkTalk do have a fibre offering - it's called the "Fibre Optic Boost" and it's "10 per month on top of the cost of your regular package". Activation fee is 25.

Panic over - that number isn't the Fibre specific number.

It is the number the andrewjr posted earlier in this thread for rearranging the installation date.

      I thought i recognised it
      speedyrite and Ipster like this.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Until April I'm sure Sky will not let you order Fibre because it's not officially available until then!

Yes I'm sure that's the case. Invitation only for now. Had a sneaky feeling that loads of people would be calling to try and jump the queue - and I'd be disappointed with Sky if they allowed any queue jumping before the official launch.

That was my concern too. I know 9inchjock meant well and I hope I didn't come across as being to hard on him/her.
Sorry if that is how I came across but hey it's done now.
