      Re: Sky Fibre connection

I do hope that sky offer to connect those who registered an interest first as the lead times with BTO will go from 14-28 days at launch. I have a feeling it will be a free -for-all tho!

      Re: Sky Fibre connection

I expect the 50 connection fee to be waived for all aswell, 8mb slower upload and BT offering the first 3 months half price and free connection is a tough sell if you also charge them 50 for the privilege.

      Re: Sky Fibre connection

Between the information on here and the FAQ, I'm a bit confused (not difficult ). If I already have sky tv & sky BB unlimited, do I still need to have sky talk to get their FTTC?.

      thanks
      joe

I think the addition I made in bold should cover it. I assume you had Sky Broadband before September 2011. If you take up fibre it'll start a new contract requiring the Sky Talk component.

      Re: Sky Fibre connection

What was the average download speed for those files?

Also could you perform some speed tests again to confirm that there is no 'peak time' for those out there who won't believe otherwise

If possible could you also use the speed test available on this site? I am sure that Ged will love you for that.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
