I notice that you UK speed is only faster than 80% of the UK. Mine has dropped from 77% around a year ago to 64% today.

      I'm off to sulk...

      HAHAHAHA

Keep an eye on elgin too! It really is so random the way they update the cabinets. Still even if it was installed you would still have to wait for sky.... And dont forget once it is installed you have to go polish it weekly!!!

don't worry your time will come.

@ scubbie - at least you get more than 2mb now. sky player was a pain if it lost connection...not any longer

      Further Updates:

Sky called to make sure everything was ok with the install that the internet is working.

I also questioned them about people that have pre-registered and not had a call yet the rep said that they will get around to calling people so just be patient.

If you have Sky Broadband and line rental but not the TV you can still have the Fibre broadband. If you don't have a Sky talk package you WILL need to take it to get the fibre.

You could always open a Wikipedia page on the topic. There is already one for Trainspotters: Railfan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

definite improvement. for example, i reset safari to clear anything i had cached (i use safari on macbook & chrome on win vista desktop) and loaded up Apple (United Kingdom). when i did this on my old connection i would see the little spinning thing a few seconds before the iPhone picture would render now when i go to the page the spinning thingy appears for less than 1/2 a second.

other favourite pages of mine load faster, this site, amazon, game.co.uk, sun dream team

other obvious improvements is being able to watch iPlayer in HD and even skipping to 30 seconds before the end of the program it resumes with only milliseconds of buffering if any.

Xbox Live required an update today which took all of a few seconds to download. so far it has been a positive experience. I'll see how things go in peak time as well as someone at the end of my road has BT Inifinity and he said his speed drops to about 25Mb during peak time
