Mine was in at 9:15 this morning and a few wireless tests throughout he day have given me various results from 25 - 37.5 meg. I know I should do wired tests but I run everything through powerline adapters a gigabit switches so its a pain to make a direct wired connection. Without disconnecting the laptop and lugging it across the house. The router stats are the usual 39998down and 1998 up

The guy that installed the modem showed me my line says and said they're the highest he'd ever seen on his meter, it said he line was capable of 142meg down and 30meg up so if we see sky match Bt with the 80/20 profile I'll be one happy bunny!
142Mb down, you must live on top of the PCP cab.

i didnt notice any DLM going on within the first 10 days, as soon as it was connected the BTO asked me to go to speedtest.net and do a speedtest. the results are the same as the very first test i did

Yeah but if the other "x million" people waiting for SBUF play them too and they come up, I reckon we'll be lucky to get more than a couple of quid each...

It can depend on how busy the server is on speedtest.net. I find the good ones are London (Nemesco) and Preston and Coventry. Try all three and at peak times you can get different results from each one. I could get 30meg from one and then get 37 from another.

Funnily enough, I often get the best results from Paris. Probably the French are not as speed mad as we are.

      Re: Sky Fibre connection

All ordered, install date 11.4.12. 34.8meg down and 2up. Transferred line rental from BT and paid 12 months up front! Asked about moving master socket and was advised that it would be between me and the installer! So will probably move it myself beforehand!
      Very happy (at last)!

Does the 12 month line rental work out cheaper as the BT offer?
