      To be honest its nice to do a wireless speed test but we all know for the best and most consistant results to do them on a wired connection. Speedtest on the iPhone can often be hit and miss.. and points to the speed test near the the top of this page.

      In the PDF they seem to use the term ethernet very loosely, when they actually mean the data or DSL cable.
      FTTP uses an ONT (Optical Network Teminator) which is connected directly to the fibre. There's a picture of one here.

      The main differences are the ONT has 4 ethernet ports and 2 telephone ports, the latter are used with the Fibre Voice Access service so the good ol' copper line for voice won't be required anymore.
