So finally the waiting is over. Disappointing they mention only the up to 40mbps speed. Does this mean they are unable to take advantage of the new speed increases from BT?

According to the press release: up to 8Mb/s

I would expect Sky to increase the upload speeds in due course though.

Looking at the press release I can see "Up to 8mb/s" for Sky Connect & "Up to 40mb/s" for fibre.

Where does it say 8mb/s for fibre ? (sorry if I missed it)

Apologies, it appears I misread the article.

      I though I'd spotted 40 u/l / 8 d/l. My bad

Edit: thinkbroadband is stating that it will be an upto 2mb upload speed.

Re: Sky - new fibre launch

one site says the upload speed is 2mb maybe this is to start off with just to see how it goes then maybe increase it gradually.
