Exchange up to max capacity for ADSL2+?

I am assuming this is just a typical fob off, but just in case there's anyone who hasn't heard this, this was the message O got back from Sky Support when I asked to be moved onto ADSL2+:

I have accessed your account and I can see that your local exchange (Cwmbran) has reached maximum capacity for ADSL2+ connections.
Sky have no control over the capacity within local exchanges. If the capacity is increased then we would hope to move you onto ADSL 2+.

Is there any likelihood of this being the case?

      Regards

      Yep, highly unlikely.
There have been instances where capacity has run out at exchanges but in those cases you wound't be allowed to progress an order at all. If you're connected at 8Mb and on the MAX package, then it's going t be a cap put on your line as a service quality measure and CAN be removed.

Re: Exchange up to max capacity for ADSL2+?

ADSL2+ allows Sky to offer speeds up to 16mb/s, rather than the max of 8mb/s on ADSL1.
However this is again dependant on line length, noise etc.

For speed comparison between the different types of adsl, see here

      Hope this helps

      Regards
