Very poor wifi speed, last two days (5-7 March)
Just wondering if anyone else getting this. Goes down to 5 Mbps or so then back up to normal quite often. Means I can't use the corporate Skype I rely on to WFH. Called Sky, useless as always, but nothing showing on the official Broadband Status link.
Grrrr....

Re: Very poor wifi speed, last two days (5-7 March)
This sounds like it could be something just where you are.
The most obvious things to suggest are to change your router's WiFi channel and to install a program such as inSSIDer to see if there are any local routers messing up the signal for you.
Other potential things to check are to see if you or a neighbour have something working on the 2.4GHz channel. Such items include some DECT phones and baby monitors.

Re: Very poor wifi speed, last two days (5-7 March)
Thanks - strange thing, it was related to a 'smart meter' for electricity which was installed recently and somehow messed up the wifi signal. Switched the router channel (to 13) and it's back working fine. Thanks so much for the advice!

I would be tempted to contact the firm who installed the smart meter.
For them to supply a product now which wipes out all the WiFi channels in your home is IMHO an irresponsible behaviour.
