I'm happy to give up a little download to improve my upload
The ipstream product that Sky use is limited to 448kbps upstream. On Sky LLU, the upstream can be set to whatever the noise margin will allow on either line code (g.dmt/adsl1 or adsl2+). My upstream with Sky LLU on g.dmt/adsl1 -

Connection Speed 2784 kbps 896 kbps
      Line Attenuation 61.0db 31.5db
      Noise Margin 7.0db 7.0db

Re: Seriously Considering the Move to Sky - But

Lost a bit of downstream last night but more than gained for it in upstream :-)

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3934 kbps 798 kbps
Line Attenuation 55.0 db 27.8 db
Noise Margin 8.7 db 13.7 db

Hope to get the downstream back with that 1.7db to spare before I hit the magic 7db
and with a bit of luck may see more on the upstream
