      Can I expect Faster Connection

My exchange has recently had Skys LLU installed and was considering moving mainly if I can get an increase for both Up & Down speeds.
I'm currently with Eclipse using BT's ADSL Max. There is no ADSL2+
Distance from my house to exchange is 0.5 Mi by road, 0.32 Direct.
House is 10 years old so wiring is reasonable

      I have an SNR 10db/29db
      attenuation 10/18
typically have d/L speeds 6-7 Mbps however can vary during the day.

Skys estimated access speed is 9.6 - 16.4 Mbps.

Do you think i could expect a reasonable increase in speed

      Thanks

Sky has a target Noise Margin of 7dB. This change alone would improve your connection speed.

With your current Line Attenuation, you should be on target to get an over 16Mb connection. The Line Attenuation normally rises when switching from ADSL to ADSL2+ by 2 or 3 figures. Taking this information, you should still have a set of figures better than my own.

See my signature below for my connection speed.

You will have better than double your download speed. Your attenuation will rise to 20/21db, but with your very good noise margin, this should still give you a sync speed of 16-18db.

      Its a nobrainer really
