Photos of Maida Vale (WEWMAI) Exchange

All day, yesterday afternoon, I've searched for photos of Maida Vale Exchange on the Internet, but no luck, as I can't stop thinking about my BT phone line and local BT Exchanges.

All the things that keep on going in my mind are like: What's my local Exchange looks like? How big is the Exchange? Any Openreach Engineers are hanging around in my local exchange? and so on.

So I have decided to go and search for my local Exchange. Why don't I take a few photos of my local Exchange while I'm at it. So I have added a few photos as a attachment with my thread for everybody to see what's Maida Vale Exchange looks like.

Anyone who lives in my area might have gone past it without realising it or might have seen it while you're on any bus heading towards Marble Arch / Oxford Street side from Kilburn High Road or on any bus heading towards Willesden Bus Garage / Cricklewood side from Edware Road / Marble Arch.

Laughs... I like the sound of that!! Actually, speaking of which... I'm thinking off is there a way of boosting the BB signal for some people who lived quite far away from the Exchange. Similar, the way of boosting RF (Aerial - Reception) signals for TVs - Signal Booster. I'm thinking that my local Exchange is out of date, they need some serious upgrading to do!!

The building may not look much but the equipment may well be up to date inside. Our exchange is just a bit of a shed set up but the equipment inside is relatively up to date. The days where huge buildings are needed to put massive banks of equipment and switches into are gone, the equipment used in modern exchanges is tiny compared to what used to be needed.

Just seen your post, and has got me asking wondering what does my exchange look like apparently I am approximately 784 metres from the exchange, thats not far at all, my sky broadband goes live tomorrow, I have signed up for the unlimited package so me being so close hopefully I will get some good speeds. Right off to find my exchange (Boscombe Exchange)
