Connecting sky box to wireless router

I have a desktop pc connected to a sky wireless router via an ethernet cable. I want to move my router so that it is connected to the sky box with an ethernet cable, then put a wifi adapter in my desktop pc to connect to the router.
It seem common sense but not being a a technical person would like to know if there are any problems with this configuration

      Thankyou

Re: Connecting sky box to wireless router

Ideally the router should always be connected as near to the Master Telephone Socket as possible in order to get the best connection speed.

You have a few options. IMHO the best would be between a pair of HomePlugs or the WiFi Media Bridge from Netgear (WNCE2001). HomePlugs will cost around 35 for a pair. The WNCE2001 is available for a similar price.

Take a look at the guide linked below for more information on the different options:

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
