Using a 2nd router as a wireless adaptor

      Hi there,

My Sky router is in a completely different art of the house to my Sly box, and i am loathe to pay 60 to sky for one of their wireless adaptors.

I do however have another router lying around unused. Can i use this as a wireless adaptor?

I am also wondering if the Sky box also needs to be connected to the telephone line?

      Thanks in advance.

You can't use a router as a wireless adapter, they are 2 differnet things. Depending on the make and model of the router you may be able to use it as a wireless bridge, which is what you want to connect to Anytime+

You do not need the phone connected to access Anytime+.

      Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I thought as much, but a 2nd opinion never hurts.

The spare router i have is a DG834GT.
