Sky Anytime+ Connection Woes again
Hi,
Sorry another user with problems getting this up and running. I have sky broadband and the latest sagem router, I have activated anytime plus feature, I have spoken to sky on numerous times. I can not get the router to find an ip address at all via the normal network tab using dchp. I have tried it directly to router and tryed using tplink power plugs (which would be my preference)
I have managed to get the manual input to work and now get a local connection and can see it under the attached devices in the sky router menu. So I am asssuming I the router and sky box are possibly ok.
However now I am getting a network fail with the manual settings option., I have tried re-boots, rebuilding planner, turning on and off broadband connection. I have a feeling its not seeing a broadband connection for some reason. Any ideas. I am leaning its sky box blocking things for some reason.
Any ideas? I have been trying since the 10th of April to get this to work since I went live, I have a new Amstrad box with the latest software.

Re: Sky Anytime+ Connection Woes again
Have you a Laptop which can use your HomePlugs? I would be inclined to check these work with the Laptop first. One potential issue you may need to check is if the HomePlugs need to be paired with one another.
Next take a look at a guide I posted a couple of weeks ago: http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-a...t-anytime.html
Hopefully this may help you to identify the cause of the problem.
Please let us know how you get on.

Re: Sky Anytime+ Connection Woes again
Hi many thanks, yep tried everything but still no joy, spent some more time on the phone to the anytime team again. New conclusion is that my Amstrad box is currently on software thats not been officially released for some reason, so its being esclateded to the development team.
Dont know how true this is, it should be on version 28 but its on 29. Will have to wait and see, its not essential I have this feature however it be nice to have all available features of the box up and running.

Re: Sky Anytime+ Connection Woes again
Well have given up, can not get it work, anytime team have run away
. Can not get a local lan connection, can still get a manual ip input local connection but network fail. Its either the box or the router imo now, though the all other stuff works off the router plugged directly into it, blu ray player, xbox etc. I still have the sky engineers number 30 day jobbie thing if theres any problems. Will he come out for this sort of problem. Also do the ethernet lights on sky box have to be on, when its connected.
I do have an old adsl router knocking about can I configure this to work on the sky network to prove its not the router.

Have you tried doing a software update on your HD box? If not, give it a try, full instructions can be found here-
