Which Sky STB do you have?

Also do you have more than one, if so, what is the other STB?

I am wondering if you have a Sky+ STB which Sky is down as the main STB.

You also do need to ensure that your Sky+ HD STB is not a Thomson model as these are not compatible with Anytime+.

I this case, call Sky and ask someone to enable Anytime+ for you.

It sounds like another bug in their systems.

That's interesting. On what circumstances can anyone get their WiFi Bridge for free?

Great thread, btw, lot of research done there.

This was on offer for new Sky joiners some time ago, the offer has lapsed. It has also been offered to some as an incentive when they have had a lot of problems with their TV or broadband. There is no definite way to get it free.

      Re: How to get Anytime+

Is it worth mentioning that everything under the 'Sky Store' requires you to have a telephone connection to your Sky Box? I didnt know this, but just got told by Sky engineers. Hoped that it would've been part of the Internet side of things, as I threw out the extra-long telephone cable a few months ago as I thought I'd never need it again.

      Oops.

      Re: How to get Anytime+

It makes sense, as you are using the same kind of service as Box Office. It would be nice for Sky to publicise things like that a bit better though, especially as they know that your STB is connected to the Internet and they could get the information via that source.

      Re: How to get Anytime+

Sorry, the Thomson Sky+ HD STB will never support Anytime+.

Your best options would be to consider asking Sky if they can provide you a replacement that support Anytime+. Sky did offer to replace them FOC last year when they couldn't get the new File System and Anytime+ to work on them, but this offer has now finished. Some members found that Sky then locked them into a new 12 month contract too.

Alternatively look around for a 2nd hand STB. eBay is a popular site to look for these.

Whilst the Thomson models appear to experience a high failure rate with the PSUs, many report that they do produce the best HD images.
