      Sorry - Nwebie Simple Question

My brother-in-law (who is not computer literate) has Sky + HD and asked me to look at Anytime Plus for him. I am not a sky user and would appreciate some advice. He currently has Sky HD+ (the whole works as far as can see) and independently, but in the same room, a PC that is broadband connected via Virgin (originally the broadband was NTL - who were subsequently taken over by Virgin). So, to my naive/ignorant thinking, he has a Sky + box next to a broadband router (although it is service by NTL/Virgin). If I connect his Sky + HD box to the router by an ethernet cable, and he goes through what ever set-up procedure he has to on his Sky + HD box, will he be able to connect and have this Anytime + service? If I connect a laptop to the ethernet cable, before connecting it to the Sky+ box, to ensure I have internet connectivity, is this sufficient to confirm that when the ethernet is re-connected to the Sky + box it will be able to find the ip address of the remote Sky server (I'm assuming this is what it does). I guess there is some registration process he has to go through but is it as simple as me ensuring he has a fully internet connected enabled ethernet cable that can be connected to his Sky + HD box in order for him to connect or are there other subtle set-up parameters needed in router or do you have to have a Sky router/broadband. Any advice appreciated.

Yes - Just connect the HD box to the router via a network cable.

He will also have to log into MySky to enable it.
