      this might sound like a silly question but i have only a 7mb connection is it worth me getting a 500mbps homeplugs or will the 200mbps do? i thought more is better??

      lol - Poor Ged.

      The HomePlugs are for your home network. If your router supports a 1Gbit LAN, then the 500mb HomePlugs would work better. The 200mb HomePlugs work fine on a router that supports a 100mb LAN.

      Ermm i have a SKY router D-Link and i also have a SKY Netgear DG934G which one supports 1Gbit LAN

      Neither of those two. All the current Sky routers only support a 100mb LAN.

      If you were planning to upgrade at a later date, then you might wish to consider the faster HomePlugs, otherwise you aren't going to benefit.
