Re: BBC enters new partnership to bring BBC iPlayer to Sky

Thank you for spotting these articles speedyrite.

It is about time that both Sky and Auntie resolved their issues over the BBC iPlayer.

Adding the ITV Player is also very welcome news.

As for allowing non-Sky broadband connections to the Anytime+ service, this was mentioned last December and is hotly awaited by quite a few members.

I would suggest that anyone with Sky Connect avoids all of these though as a single HD movie download could put them over their daily limit very quickly. It should be noted that the size of the download is available if you press the <i> button, so people can see this before any download commences.

I've just looked at the Anytime menu and see that there is now a new tab "Sky Store" which has Sky Box Office content grouped together. ITV isn't yet showing, but I am sure it will just be a matter of time.

I wonder if 4oD & Demand Five will be added soon?

The addition of the BBC and ITV have been a long time coming. I read somewhere the CH4 were going to start another channel with catch up content on so I don't know if this means their plans are not geared towards catchup content via the internet but I guess time will tell.

ITV player Channel is already on anytime+ - search all entertainment, then select Channels green button I think and scroll down.

It's empty at present, but maybe promising ......
