      Sky + Anytime

As my son has gone to uni I am going to stop the HD subscription and just keep all the other channels.
Can I still set up Sky+anytime or will this service no longer be viable as I no longer subscribe to HD

      Re: Sky + Anytime

Since you have a Sky+ HD STB, the only things to watch when you cancel the HD sub are the following:

      • When cancelling, mention that the channel line up will also need to be altered so that Sky1 HD is not on channel 106 (others will also need changing, but I would mention this as an example). Often this is left unchanged and can become a problem
      • Anytime+ will be viewable, but not the HD content
      • Showcase (aka Anytime) will often contain HD versions of shows. I believe that there is a Firmware update planned to resolve this, but at present if you subscribe to both Movie, or Sports packs, then you can watch their Showcase HD content

You'll still be able to view channels like BBC1 HD & ITV1 HD, but I believe that ITV2/3/4 HD, E4 HD will no longer be able to be viewed.

      Re: Sky + Anytime

Either way you would be cancelling the multi-room & HD packs, so yes you would get the same reduction.

However you may wish to be clear when you do the cancellation. If it goes wrong though, it would be a simple case to pair the working viewing card with the Sky+ HD STB.
