Wifi Bridge / wireless phone fot 1tb box

Hi all, now I know there are already existing threads for standard Sky+ HD boxes, but as far as I am aware, some boxes are compatible with some stuff, and other boxes with others.

Currently, we just got 2 x 1 tb boxes installed. They are greyish, not black like the normal HD boxes and I think they are manufactured by Sky themselves.

      I have 2 questions,

1: what sort of wireless wifi bridge would you recommend I use for anytime+ that is compatible with this type of box?

2: I use a Billion router as my internet speed where I am is very poor (2meg down adn 0.7ish up). I have to use this as this router handles traffic far better than the Sagem router. Do I need to open any particular ports or anything to get anytime + to work? Are the 1tb boxes 'smart' enough to know an unsupported router is being used?

3: As we have multiroom, I am worried we might get hounded on the phone line being connected. I am thinking of getting this: [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/RTX-WIRELESS-PHONEJACK-Wireless-Phone/dp/B000NJQHL4/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=IGKGK0KUJWC0F&colid= 1MMNCME0K2WE]RTX Wireless Phone Jack: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics[/ame] Is there a better or cheaper one I can use that is still compatible and it must be able to work with an extension power socket; NOT directly into the wall power socket.

Thanks VERY much guys for all your help in advance!

All the Sky+ HD STBs have a LAN port. Only the Thomson model has had this enabled. The LAN port is a standard Ethernet 10/100Mb port and as such, any LAN that works with this type of connector will be just fine.

There are some reported issues with professional routers, for example, as not all the ports are open and Anytime+ fails to work.

Over the years Sky has always had their 'badge' placed on their equipment. Sky bought out Amstrad a few years ago and now all their STBs are manufactured by Amstrad.

Personally I would either use a long Ethernet cable or a pair of HomePlugs, but any WiFi bridge that can connect to your main router will be just fine.

Sorry, I missed the important word 'NOT'. I was exhausted earlier having been busy this weekend.
