      which hdd for amstrad 780?

Hey wasnt getting much luck in the computer area, thought I would try here:

I know the hitachi deskstar works, but is there anymore?

I have a samsung F3 1TB, But was told I could not use this, so was going to sell it, and buy another one.

Thanks so much, or is there a list of HDD on this site somewere?

Also is there only certain model numbers as well,

      Thanks

Well, in one way I might be able to help with a warning: - If your 780 Sky disk software is of the "darwin" variety, you will not be able to use copy+ to transfer recordings from that disk to the new one.

I paid 65 for a 1TB disk & usb caddy only to find I couldn't transfer recordings from the old disk - and the wife certainly didn't want to loose them! Very annoying - no clear warning of this on most of the "how to" guides, and no warning on the copy+ site. Grrr!

Sorry - I can't tell you if the disk I bought was any good (Western Digital W10EVDS) as I never installed it! - though it was recommended elsewhere.
