Sky Anytime+ and Wireless connector :D

Just had an email from Sky saying my box is one of the ones next on the list for the upgrade and as thanks for waiting they are sending me a wireless connector worth 60

Some good news at last hehe.

Is the wireless connector easy to set up? What exactly does it entail?

It should be easy as no one has posted any problems about setting one up on this forum thus far. I'm sure that someone will soon enough though.

In essence it allows you to connect you Sky+ HD STB to your Sky Router using a WiFi g connection.

If you are happy with using it, then this will be sufficient. Personally I always recommend a cabled connection, whether with an Ethernet cable of a pair of HomePlugs.

Thanks I'm sure I'll manage to figure it out. It might be worth using the ethernet though I suppose, I mean there are already 4/5 wireless devices connecting to the router :/

It is the same email some people were sent back on the 22nd of March and they are still waiting so you could still be in with a bit of a wait as nobody that has got this box has yet to have Anytime+ unless the owner has requested a replacement box then Sky do enable the service on the account which then sees Anytime+ working on the 780 while the owner waist for their new box.

At a wild guess I would say the Amstrad 780.

Re: Sky Anytime+ and Wireless connector :D

I'm due to get the Sky Anytime+ and Wireless connector from sky sometime soon. Does anyone know if this can be used for another device?
For example, instead of plugging the ethernet cable into the sky box, could I plug it in to my xbox (similar to wireless bridging with a laptop) ?
