Thumbs down Anytime+ roll out finished according to Sky Customer Service!!

I was told today by customer service about anytime+ that:

"If you dont already have it, You wont be getting it now".

And then proceded to try and sell me a 1TB HD Anytime+ compatible box for 149.99. My exact words to him are unrepetable on the forum. But if this is true I will be wanting a refund for my HD box and ill use my standard Sky+ box.

Why would you want/expect a refund for your HD box, do you have an issue receiving HD on it?

Upgraded to a HD box when they first announced Anytime+ last year. Now I have been told that will not happen then it is not fit for the purpose I bought it for.

I think there must have been some sort of a mistake at the customer service end. On a seperate note can I ask you how you or the customer service agent got the 149.99 for the 1tb box coin rolling. I am interested in getting the 1tb box. I thought it was a bit steep at 250 quid but I'll have it for 150 any day.

I think the Sales of Goods Act would disagree. The HD box is not sold to view anytime + but to view HD.

Unless you specifically told Sky that was your reason for your purchase and they acknowledged it.

Future functionality is always sold with the caveat that it can be withdrawn at anytime.

What is your make/model of box.

It was originally offered to me at 249.99 however I told him I had been a sky customer since November 2000 and pay 100 for my TV,Phone and Broadband a month and there was no way they were getting another 250 out of me.

My box is a Amstrad 780. I will settle for a free replacement as I can't get Virgin where I live but when I ordered my HD box I was asked what made me decide to upgrade to HD and I told them it was for Anytime+

Thanks for that. Anytime + has not been enabled on the 780's yet so you will have to wait for the software upgrade.

I have been told by more than one customer service agent that the 780's are incomaptible with Anytime+
