There is a report on here of at least one member who has had his 780 enabled.

I have seen reports of people calling Sky and managing to get their 780 models up and running with Anytime+ after Sky have enabled it at their end. Personally I am going to wait.

      Hi coope66,

We are currently still rolling out the software for the DRX780 boxes, as yet we don't have an activation date for Anytime+

Same stock "pants" response. What is annoying is when your box has the software upgrade, its connected to the network, its telling you to register online to activate the "full service", but you cant, because the web site still wont let you.

To me this simply stinks of poor roll out processes, whereby the activation teams are not in synch with the software updates.

After 18 years with Sky, am finally thinking of looking elsewhere!!

Ah, so the responses from CS (on your official forum) that say the STBs will be activated tomorrow or Wednesday are wrong - what a surprise.

Spoke to anytime dept today and they insisted it would be working by Thursday .... But then again they also insisted there was absolutely no way a 780 box could be activated before then so basically I'm don't believe a word they tell me now.

      Re: Amstrad DRX780UK-C and Anytime+

I posted in October that knowing Sky that it would be at least Easter before it would be finished.

The way it is going it might even be October before they finish the roll out.

I wonder if this is one of the reasons why they won't allow non Sky ISP's to have anytime+, they have to get around 300,000 users upgraded to darwin and activated.

Can you imagine the chaos with 3 million customers? (although that many will be getting the update though)

Typical, lucky they gave me 20.00 off my bill for 6 months, I had enough of going into anytime, it saying, please go to sky.com and update, but you cant, and you need to press back on your remote to enter the anytime screen.

But I bet you didn't say what year though.

This whole process has been a shambles, with a lack of decent official information from Sky not helped with ***-bits from them which is blatantly incorrect. To launch the service when 780 owners and even Thomson (those who are waiting on a replacement box) are still waiting it just taking the mick.
