I know you are sorted with a cable but for anyone else who is interested you can get more possibilities with homeplug nowadays

You can get a router with it built-in, multiple socket extension blocks with multiple network ports, single homeplugs with multiple network ports etc

I ran the old homeplug v1 with a single device and an integrated homeplug modem/router
for years. I had sky router to single homeplug and the my homplug router (modem features switched off) in my office so I could connect up multiple devices in another room.

As well as solwise (they aren't the cheapest) I can vouch for ebuyer value pair of 200mbps homeplugs, I got a pair for 40 quid and they work flawlessly and deliver around 190mbps on my wiring, which is plenty for HD material from Windows Media Center PC to an xbox 360 for example

      Cheers
      Chris
