      Anytime plus help

      Hello all

Im after a bit of advice about connecting my internet to my SkyBox!

I cant get the sky router close enough to my sky box without some long extenstion so im hoping this will work!

can i use a set of home plugs and use a different router near the sky box as a 'splitter' so i can make use of eithernet connections for my TV, skybox and also my PS3?

      Basicall will go:

      Master socket-sky router-homeplug1-homeplug2-2nd router-sky box
      -PS3
      -TV

      Thanks for reading.

      Ben

      Yes it is all possible.

Take a look at the document in this thread:

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/askin...-together.html

Whilst it talks about a Sky router being the primary router connected to the ADSL connection, any router, including a 2nd Sky router, can be the extra router.

If you get stuck with the document, please feel free to post questions in the above thread.

I have an update to make to include Linux & iPad screens & instructions, but I believe the rest of the document works.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

That is how I have mine connected, works a treat. I originally used a HomeHub2, but now I have a DIR-635 which also throws out a great WiFi signal for my granddaughter's laptop.
