      Yes and no.

Obviously Sky has the right to keep things available as long as they wish, so long as it isn't longer than any license for the programme or film they may have.

Once you have downloaded the content, some have a time limit, whilst others don't.

For example: The Colour of Magic has been available since before Christmas and doesn't have an expiry date.

980 now installed and working fine - A+ is great and the box itself is massively faster than that 780 POS, even browsing the menus is lightning quick now!

Was gonna bung the 780 on fleabay but I dont know if I can inflict that slowness on some other poor sod.

If $ky don't offer a new box at the threat of a termination, go through with it and then take another contract out in wife/partners name .... That way you'll get 50 M&S vouchers too and only be without premium channels for a short while.

I have the Amstard 780 box and had enough of being fobbed off for six months, so yesterday I sent an email to Sky customer services and CC'd it to BBC Watchdog complaining that i have been waiting six months. Well tonight i had a phonecall from sky apologising and offerring to replace my box with a brand new compatible box free of charge. Engineer is coming next week to do the install, woohoo! Thank you Sky fo resolving my complait so promptly!

Re: Anytime+ Amstrad 780 problem thread...

Rang Sky yesterday (19/5/11) to ask what was happening with Anytime+ on DRX-780s. I was put through to the "anytime+ team" .

The guy read me a statement dated 17/5/11, the gist of which was " The rollout to 780s has been suspended due to a problem where anytime+ content would stop half way through a programme" No date on when it would be fixed.

Rang customer services, kicked up a fuss. New (not refurb) box coming next week. Free. (I think its a 1TB). Had to sign up for another 12 months - not a problem - and I'm obviously keeping the 780 as well.
