Sky HD Anytime Plus Phone Connection

Hi all, my first post so be gentle ! I have the fantastic Sky Anytime+ service now activated on my line and although I only have a 3MB ADSL connection its adequate to stream movies almost immediately.
My question is this, do I need to have both the Ethernet cable and the telephone cable connected ? or does the Ethernet cable to the router now replace the telephone connection to Sky as well ???

      Yes.

Sky has a 'call back' process to ensure that your box is where you said it is. It's used particularly to ensure Multi-room subscribers aren't cheating.

When ordering Sky Box Office Events, dial-up is used.

Also the Interactive services still use the telephone line to download their content.

Sadly Sky hasn't yet worked on making these run through your network.

Of course technically you only need to connect your STB to the telephone line for the first 12 months under Sky's T&Cs, but then that's a whole different topic.

Ok thanks for the quick reply, I'll keep it all connected as it is then.
